10:00 AM - 11:30 AM	Understanding Eligibility Screens The session will provide a live system demonstration showing you how to verify a beneficiary’s Medicare eligibility using Health Insurance Query Access (HIQA). You will learn that before submitting claims, it is very important that you check this information. Checking eligibility information allows you to identify if the beneficiary is: entitled to Medicare Part A, Part B; or both Part A and Part B enrolled in an health maintenance organization (HMO); enrolled with another insurance that is primary over Medicare; in an open 60-day home health prospective payment system (HH PPS) episode; or in an open hospice election period.
